The Panduit CJ5E88TGRD is a Category 5e rated RJ45 modular plug designed for terminating 8-position, 8-wire twisted-pair copper cabling. Its red color-coding aids in distinguishing network runs within a structured cabling system, crucial for efficient troubleshooting and management in enterprise environments. This connector ensures reliable data transmission up to 100 Mbps for standard Ethernet applications.

Compatibility

This connector is compatible with standard Category 5e UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) copper cables. It is designed for use with 24 AWG solid conductor wire. It is suitable for termination into patch panels, wall plates, and other standard RJ45 keystone jacks or inline couplers that meet TIA/EIA-568-C.2 specifications.

Installation Notes

Termination requires a specialized crimping tool designed for RJ45 modular plugs to ensure proper seating of all 8 conductors and strain relief. Ensure the cable jacket is stripped to the correct length to allow the plug's internal strain relief to secure the cable properly, preventing conductor dislodgement under tension.
