Overview

The Panduit UTP28SP15 is a 15-foot Category 6 unshielded twisted pair (UTP) patch cord designed for structured cabling systems. Its 28 AWG stranded copper construction and compact 0.150-inch diameter simplify installation in high-density environments. The integrated tangle-free latch prevents snagging during moves, adds, and changes, streamlining network management. This cord is suitable for demanding network applications requiring reliable data transmission and power delivery.

Compatibility

This Panduit UTP28SP15 patch cord is engineered to exceed ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6 and ISO 11801 Class E standards up to 250 MHz. It supports 1000BASE-T (Gigabit Ethernet) and 100BASE-T (Fast Ethernet) networks, as well as high-speed ATM applications (155 Mb/s to 1.2 Gb/s). It is also compatible with digital video, broadband analog video, voice/data systems, and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). Furthermore, it supports IEEE 802.3af/802.3at (PoE+) and IEEE 802.3bt types 3 and 4 (PoE++) power over Ethernet applications, enabling up to 48 cables in a bundle for PoE+ and 24 cables for PoE++.

Installation Notes

Constructed with a CM/LSZH (Communications Multipurpose/Low Smoke Zero Halogen) rated jacket, this cable is suitable for use in conduits and air-handling spaces where fire safety is critical. The patented tangle-free latch on the modular plug ensures secure connection and easy release without breaking, simplifying deployment and maintenance. Pre-installed RapidID barcodes facilitate efficient port mapping with compatible software.
