Overview

The Panduit UTP28SP15BU is a 15-foot, Category 6 unshielded twisted pair (UTP) patch cord designed for reliable data transmission in commercial and industrial environments. Its compact 28 AWG diameter and CM/LSZH rating simplify cable management and installation in plenum spaces or areas requiring low smoke and halogen-free materials. The integrated tangle-free latch prevents snags and ensures secure connection, streamlining moves, adds, and changes. This cord supports high-speed networking applications, including Gigabit Ethernet and VoIP, and is enabled with RapidID for simplified port mapping.

Compatibility

This Panduit Pan-Net® patch cord is designed to exceed ANSI/TIA-568.2-D Category 6 and ISO 11801 Class E performance requirements up to 250 MHz. It is compatible with 1000BASE-T (Gigabit Ethernet) and 100BASE-T (Fast Ethernet) networks, as well as 155 Mb/s and 622 Mb/s ATM applications. It also supports digital video, broadband/baseband analog video, data systems, and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). Furthermore, it is rated to support IEEE 802.3af/802.3at PoE applications (up to 48 cables in a bundle) and IEEE 802.3bt types 3 and 4 PoE applications (up to 24 cables in a bundle), ensuring adequate power delivery for connected devices without overheating the cable bundle.

Installation Notes

Constructed with 28 AWG stranded conductors and high-performance modular plugs, the UTP28SP15BU features a patented tangle-free latch that prevents snagging during installation and removal. The cable's 0.150-inch (3.8mm) diameter facilitates easier routing in high-density environments. It is UL 1863 and CAN/CSA-C22.2 compliant and rated UL94V-0 for flammability, making it suitable for installations requiring specific safety standards. Pre-installed barcodes for RapidID software facilitate efficient port mapping and network management.
