Overview

The DTRK-1418 is a 14U open-frame desktop rack from Middle Atlantic's Middle Atlantic rack and enclosure line, built for installations where floor or wall space is limited but you still need a structured, serviceable equipment bay. At 21.38" wide × 26.38" tall × 19.5" deep with 18.5" of usable depth, it accommodates standard 1U–4U rack-mount gear — NVRs, patch panels, power distribution units — without requiring a full-height floor enclosure. The steel construction with metallic gray finish is commercial-grade, not decorative: UL-rated at 300 lbs, so a fully loaded NVR shelf with drives won't flex the rails. 10-32 threaded rack rail means standard cage nuts and screws throughout — no adapters needed for typical AV or security hardware. TAA-compliant and UL Listed, making it eligible for U.S. federal and government deployments where country-of-origin documentation is required (manufactured in Mexico). Compatibility

Accepts any standard EIA-310-compliant 19" rack-mount equipment up to 14U in height and 18.5" in depth — covering the majority of NVRs, PoE switches, patch panels, and UPS units in the 1U–4U range. Confirmed compatible with rack-mount equipment from PoE network switch form factors commonly deployed alongside IP camera systems, as well as 1U and 2U NVR appliances. The 10-32 threaded rail is the standard for AV and security rack hardware; square-hole or #12-24 equipment requires a thread adapter (not included). Load capacity of 300 lbs UL-rated gives headroom for dense storage-heavy configurations such as multi-drive NVRs or battery-backed UPS units. Installation Notes

Desktop placement only — this rack ships without doors and is not rated for wall or ceiling mounting. Ensure the surface supports the combined weight of rack (45 lbs shipping weight) plus installed equipment, up to the 300 lb UL limit. 10-32 cage nuts and screws are the standard fastener; confirm your equipment's rail requirements before installation. Usable height is 24.5" (14U at 1.75" per unit); overall height of 26.38" accounts for the frame above and below the rail space — factor this into overhead clearance planning. No door cutouts or ventilation panels are included in this configuration; cable management and airflow management accessories from the rack accessories line can be added separately.
