Overview

The EPS130W-100NAS is a 130W external power supply designed to scale PoE budget on NETGEAR unmanaged Gigabit switches. Deploy this unit when your GS108 or GS116 switch needs to power multiple high-draw devices—PTZ cameras (30W per port), access points, VoIP phones, or PoE-powered door locks—without oversubscribing the base power budget. The modular design lets you adjust total PoE capacity by swapping power supplies, so you can right-size initial deployment and expand later without replacing the switch itself.

Compatibility

Works with NETGEAR GS108LP, GS108PP, GS116LP, and GS116PP unmanaged switches. With this 130W supply installed, GS108 models scale from 60W base to 123W total PoE budget; GS116 models reach 183W total. All 8 or 16 ports on compatible switches support full PoE+ (up to 30W per port) when adequate power is supplied. Cannot be used with managed NETGEAR switches or third-party brands.

Installation Notes

Input accepts multiple 54V DC configurations (1.25A, 1.66A, 2.4A, or 3.7A depending on your power source). Operating temperature range is 0° to 50°C; storage rated to –20° to 70°C. The unit mounts in standard 19-inch rack, wall, or desktop setups via included mounting kits. Fanless design—silent operation suitable for noise-sensitive environments like conference rooms or libraries. Ensure your upstream power source can supply the required input amperage; undersized power delivery will limit PoE budget despite the supply's 130W rating.
