Description

Vertiv HMX5160T-DVID Concise Descriptor

Overview

The Vertiv HMX5160T-DVID is a DVI KVM receiver unit designed for extending a remote console up to 100 meters over a single CATx cable. It enables true emulation of USB 2.0 devices, providing a seamless experience for managing servers or workstations from a distance. This unit is critical for secure, centralized control in data centers, server rooms, or broadcast environments where direct access to hardware is impractical or undesirable.

Compatibility

This receiver is part of the Vertiv HMX 5000 series. It is specifically designed to pair with compatible HMX 5000 series transmitters. Ensure your existing or planned KVM infrastructure utilizes the HMX 5000 series to guarantee full functionality and support for its 1920x1200 resolution and USB 2.0 true emulation capabilities.

Installation Notes

Requires a single CATx cable (Category 5e or higher recommended) for data transmission between the transmitter and receiver. Ensure proper termination of the CATx cable to maintain signal integrity and achieve maximum supported resolution and USB performance. The unit draws power from the connected transmitter or via a separate power adapter (sold separately if not included with the transmitter kit).
