Description

Panduit NWSLC-2Y LabelCore™ Identification Sleeve

The Panduit NWSLC-2Y LabelCore identification sleeve solves a persistent problem in fiber optic installations: how to apply clear, durable labels to 2mm simplex fiber cables without obscuring legends or creating bulk at termination points. This yellow PVC sleeve provides a 1" × 1.25" labeling surface that wraps around small-diameter fiber, giving you enough real estate for laser, inkjet, or thermal-transfer printed legends while maintaining a low profile. Designed for 2mm simplex fiber (maximum 0.2" cable diameter), the sleeve positions on the straight cable section at least 2" from the fiber boot, keeping identification visible without interfering with connector strain relief or patch-panel density. Each package contains 100 sleeves.

Key Features

  • 1" × 1.25" labeling surface accommodates full legends on 2mm simplex fiber cable
  • Flexible PVC construction conforms to cable without cracking or splitting during handling
  • Yellow colorway supports color-coded identification schemes in structured cabling environments
  • Compatible with Panduit S100X150YAJ (laser/inkjet), S100X150VAM (MP300 printer), and S100X150VA1Y/VATY (thermal transfer) label stock
  • Maximum 0.2" (5.1mm) cable diameter compatibility for standard 2mm simplex fiber
  • 100-sleeve package supports mid-sized fiber runs or service call restocking
  • RoHS compliant for installations subject to environmental material restrictions

Fiber patch cords in datacenter, telecom, and enterprise network environments demand durable identification that survives years of moves, adds, and changes without peeling, fading, or migrating along the cable. The NWSLC-2Y sleeve stays put once positioned, and its PVC material resists the abrasion and flexing typical in high-density fiber trays and patch panels. The 1" length provides enough wraparound coverage for machine-printed legends—circuit IDs, VLAN tags, endpoint locations—while the 1.25" width accommodates portrait-oriented label layouts. Installers working with Panduit's LabelCore ecosystem can pre-print label sheets, apply them to sleeves off-site, and slide finished assemblies onto terminated fiber during cutover windows, minimizing on-site dwell time. The yellow color integrates into TIA-606-C color standards or custom facility schemes, and the sleeve's 0.28" installed height keeps bundle profiles manageable in congested cable management.

Installation guidelines recommend positioning the sleeve on a straight cable section at least 2" from the fiber boot to avoid interference with bend-radius protection and connector retention clips. For large-scale deployments—campus fiber backbones, colocation cross-connects, or AV-over-IP distribution layers—the 100-count package balances inventory cost against shelf-life and reorder frequency. The sleeve's compatibility with multiple Panduit label printer platforms (laser/inkjet desktop, portable MP300, and thermal transfer) gives integrators flexibility to match labeling workflow to project scale: one-off service calls with inkjet, mid-sized jobs with portable printers, or high-volume rollouts with thermal transfer batch printing. RoHS compliance ensures the product meets environmental restrictions in EU and California installations, and the flexible PVC formulation maintains performance across typical HVAC temperature ranges without becoming brittle or sticky.
