Description

Panduit FR6X4YL10 FiberRunner 6" x 4" Cable Management Channel

The Panduit FR6X4YL10 FiberRunner channel delivers dedicated fiber and high-performance copper routing in a 6" x 4" profile that isolates sensitive optical and data cabling from EMI sources and physical damage. Each 10-foot section accepts Panduit's snap-in covers and cable retention hardware, letting you build scalable pathways that meet NEBS Level 3 requirements for central offices and enterprise datacenters. The high-visibility yellow finish provides instant visual identification of fiber routes during adds, moves, and changes.

Key Features

  • 6" wide × 4" deep channel accommodates high-density fiber trunk cables, breakout assemblies, and Cat 6A/8 copper without exceeding bend-radius limits
  • 10-foot length reduces joints and speeds installation across ceiling grids and overhead ladder rack
  • Yellow PVC construction meets UL 94V-0 flame rating and provides instant recognition of fiber pathways per TIA-598 color standards
  • Accepts FiberRunner snap-in covers, vertical drops, radius limiters, and horizontal/vertical system connectors without tools
  • NEBS Level 3 compliant for seismic zones and meets Telcordia GR-63-CORE for network equipment building systems
  • Open-top design allows mid-span cable access and simplifies MAC work without removing entire covers

The FR6X4YL10's 6-inch width handles up to 144-fiber trunk cables, multi-fiber push-on (MPO) breakout assemblies, or mixed copper/fiber bundles while maintaining the 1.5-inch minimum bend radius required by TIA-568. The 4-inch depth keeps cables away from the channel base, preventing compression when covers are installed or when cables stack during high-utilization phases. Installers working with 40G/100G backbone upgrades use the yellow FiberRunner as the protected vertical riser between floor-level patching and overhead horizontal distribution, keeping mode-conditioning and polarity-keyed trunks visually distinct from copper infrastructure.

The channel's open-top profile accepts Panduit's hinged covers for tool-free access during adds and changes, or you can snap in solid covers where pathways cross public areas or require plenum ratings. Mounting flanges on both sides of the channel work with FiberRunner vertical wall brackets, threaded-rod ceiling hangers, or direct attachment to 12-inch ladder rack rungs. The modular joint system uses horizontal and vertical connectors to build continuous pathways around corners, through vertical transitions, or across long horizontal runs without custom fabrication. Because each 10-foot section ships in cartons of four, you can stage material for an entire floor buildout without multiple delivery windows.

UL-listed under file E60111 for optical fiber cable assemblies and RoHS-compliant for international deployments, the FR6X4YL10 meets the fire-safety and seismic standards enforced in carrier hotels, colocation facilities, and government datacenters. The yellow finish aligns with TIA-598-D recommendations for single-mode fiber identification, reducing the risk of accidental cross-connects when your team works in mixed copper-fiber environments.
