Hanwha ARN-810S-2TB 8-Channel PoE NVR with 2TB Storage
Overview
The ARN-810S-2TB is an 8-channel embedded Linux NVR designed for small-to-medium commercial and retail deployments where you need direct PoE power distribution and local video management without external software dependencies. The 2TB drive is pre-installed — unbox, connect 8 PoE cameras to the LAN ports, and start recording. It handles H.265, H.264, and MJPEG streams, meaning you can mix camera brands and codec choices without compatibility friction. HDMI local monitoring and P2P remote access round out the feature set for distributed locations.
Compatibility
The ARN-810S-2TB accepts any standard IP camera that speaks H.265, H.264, or MJPEG over RTSP — no brand lock-in. The 8 integrated PoE ports (10/100 LAN) deliver up to 13W per port for standard PoE-class cameras; verify your camera's power draw against this budget. The WAN port (10/100 RJ-45) provides off-site P2P connectivity or cloud failover. ARB (Analogue Recording Bridge) support means you can integrate legacy analog adapters if needed. Maximum HDD capacity is 6TB, so you can upgrade the pre-installed 2TB drive later if retention requirements grow.
Installation Notes
Mount the unit on a standard 19-inch rack or wall bracket. PoE port assignments are fixed — assign cameras in sequence (ports 1–8). The WAN port must connect to your network gateway or internet uplink for remote access. Operating temperature range is 0°C to 45°C (32°F to 113°F), so avoid unventilated attics or equipment rooms in hot climates. No external power supply is required — the unit draws mains AC input internally. Ensure your branch circuit can handle the combined draw of 8 cameras plus NVR logic when sizing backup power or UPS requirements.
