Overview

The Viking Electronics K-1200-IP is a SIP-based entry phone system built for apartment buildings, gated facilities, and commercial access points where a single device needs to handle call-out, door release, and credential-based entry without a separate access control panel. The K-1200-IP integrates a 12-button auto dialer, keypad entry, and Wiegand proximity card reader into one stainless steel unit — all powered over a single Cat5/6 run via PoE Class 2 (under 6.5W), which eliminates the need for local 110V power at the door. SIP 2.0 (RFC3261) compliance means it registers to any standards-based IP PBX or hosted VoIP platform without proprietary gateways. Audio codec support for G.711u, G.711a, and G.722 delivers wideband (HD) voice quality on compatible SIP infrastructure.
