Overview
The PSI5-1500SRT2UXLIN is a 1500VA/1350W short-depth lithium-ion UPS from Vertiv's Liebert PSI5 series, built for edge IT closets, distributed rack environments, and security head-end rooms where cabinet depth is constrained and long battery service intervals matter. At 11.81 inches deep, it fits shallow 2-post telecom racks and wall-mount enclosures that reject standard 18–22 inch UPS units. The lithium-ion LiFePO4 chemistry delivers an 8–10 year design life — roughly double a lead-acid equivalent — which significantly reduces the operational cost of battery replacement cycles in hard-to-reach or high-volume deployments. The included Liebert IntelliSlot RDU120 network management card means network-based monitoring is available out of the box, not an add-on purchase.
Compatibility
The PSI5-1500SRT2UXLIN is compatible with standard 2-post and 4-post EIA-310 rack enclosures in 2U form factor, and also installs in tower or wall-mount configurations via the convertible chassis. The 8 x NEMA 5-15R output receptacles and NEMA 5-15P input match North American 120VAC infrastructure used across network video recorders, PoE switch stacks, and access control head-end equipment. Extended runtime is supported through up to five external Liebert PSI5 battery cabinets for applications requiring beyond the built-in 20 minutes at half load or 9 minutes at full load. Output voltage is user-selectable at 100, 110, 115, or 125VAC to match downstream load requirements precisely. Input accepts 75–150VAC, providing AVR correction across wide utility fluctuations common in edge and branch locations — relevant for UPS and power protection deployments in facilities without conditioned power. Compatible with Vertiv's Liebert monitoring ecosystem via the included RDU120 card and USB port for local management. Installation Notes
The three programmable outlet segments allow staged load shedding — critical loads stay powered while secondary loads shed in sequence during an outage, a requirement on multi-device rack builds running cameras, switches, and recorders from a single UPS. Hot-swappable batteries allow battery service without powering down connected equipment. The gravity-sensing LCD auto-orients display readout whether the chassis is mounted horizontally in a rack or vertically in tower orientation. Operating temperature range is 32°–104°F (0°–40°C); installations in unconditioned spaces near the upper ambient limit should account for lithium-ion thermal derating. EPO connector supports facility-level emergency power-off integration.
