Description

Unitech 1550-900079G USB Cable 59 Type A Straight

Overview

The Unitech 1550-900079G is a 59-inch USB Type A straight cable designed for Unitech MS250 handheld barcode scanners. This cable connects the scanner to a host computer or POS terminal via standard USB, eliminating the need for wireless pairing or battery management in fixed-station scanning environments. The beige sheath color blends into typical retail and warehouse counter installations. The 59-inch length accommodates a typical counter-mounted scanner positioned 4–5 feet from a USB port or docking hub, reducing cable strain and connector fatigue at the scanner end.

Compatibility

This cable is designed specifically for the Unitech MS250 scanner. Do not force it into incompatible scanner models — connector mismatch will damage both the cable and the scanner port. If you are deploying MS250 units in a fixed checkout or receiving station, this is the correct OEM replacement or initial cable.

Installation Notes

Insert the Type A connector into your host device's USB port until you hear a click — do not force. The cable is powered passively through USB; no separate power supply is required. If the scanner does not respond after connection, verify the host device recognizes the USB device in Device Manager (Windows) or System Information (macOS), and check for scanner-side driver installation if needed. The beige color minimizes visibility in standard retail environments, but confirm cable routing does not create a trip hazard in high-traffic areas.
