Overview
The Ubiquiti UVC-G6-PRO-TURRET-W is a 4K PoE+ turret camera built into Ubiquiti's UniFi Protect video management ecosystem. The 1/1.2" CMOS sensor and 2.36x optical zoom deliver crisp subject detail at mid-range distances without the mechanical complexity of motorized optics. Tamper-resistant design and all-weather construction suit perimeter, retail, and campus deployments where the camera itself must resist physical interference or environmental stress. PoE+ power eliminates separate power supplies—a single Cat6a run handles both data and 95W capacity, streamlining network planning for distributed installations.
Compatibility
The UVC-G6-PRO-TURRET-W integrates with UniFi Protect NVR systems and CloudKey+ appliances running current UniFi OS firmware. It pairs with UniFi Dream Machine Pro or Dream Machine SE for on-site recording and playback. Works alongside other UniFi Protect cameras (G4 Bullet, G4 Dome, G3 Flex variants) in the same Protect deployment, allowing mixed-model layouts across multi-building sites. Requires UniFi Protect software for streaming, analytics, and remote management—it does not function as a standalone RTSP camera without Protect integration.
Installation Notes
Turret form factor mounts to standard ceiling or wall surfaces with included hardware. PoE+ injection at the NVR or via a PoE+ injector supplies the required 95W. Verify your network switch or injector delivers 95W on the camera's port before deployment. All-weather rating permits outdoor use; confirm site-specific environmental limits align with the product's standard IP rating and mechanical durability claims. Multi-TOPS AI engine runs on-camera for object detection and classification, reducing NVR processing load in high-camera-count deployments.
