Overview

The Ubiquiti USW-PRO-XG-8-POE is a compact managed switch built for enterprise deployments where you need 10 Gigabit density with distributed power delivery across a single device. Eight 10GbE RJ45 ports support PoE++ (up to 60W per port, 155W total budget), solving the backhaul and aggregation problem in high-density camera, wireless, and IP device environments. Two additional 10G SFP+ uplink slots add fiber flexibility without consuming RJ45 real estate. The USW-PRO-XG-8-POE delivers 200 Gbps switching capacity and 100 Gbps non-blocking throughput at a forwarding rate of 149 Mpps — enough for mid-scale infrastructure without thermal overhead. Compact desktop or wall-mount form factor (210.4 × 173.8 × 43.7 mm, 1.6 kg) fits standard racks and office spaces; −5 to 45°C operating range supports semi-outdoor sensor and camera pole installations.

Compatibility

Works as an aggregation or access-layer switch in UniFi-managed networks and vendor-agnostic enterprise environments. Eight PoE++ ports power any standard PoE endpoint: IP cameras (Axis, Ubiquiti, Hikvision, Hanwha, etc.), WAPs, industrial IoT sensors, or UniFi devices. Multi-speed negotiation (10G/5G/2.5G/1G/100M per port) handles legacy and modern equipment on the same fabric. Two SFP+ slots integrate fiber uplinks into data center or campus backbone without requiring a separate optical converter. Supports up to 1,000 concurrent VLANs, DHCP snooping, 802.1X control, and MAC-based device isolation — standard for regulated or security-critical deployments. Installation Notes

Power: external AC/DC adapter (210W supply, 50–57V DC). Draws 61W base consumption; PoE output adds up to 155W on top. Ethernet management only — no serial console required. ESD protection rated ±30kV (air and contact). SGCC steel enclosure and polycarbonate mount tolerate office and semi-outdoor environments. Confirm your RJ45 cable runs and PoE endpoint power draws before deployment; exceeding 155W total PoE or per-port wattage limits will trigger port shutdown.
