Overview

The Ubiquiti UPS-TOWER-US is a compact 1,000VA/600W line-interactive UPS designed to protect UniFi network infrastructure from power loss and voltage sags. This unit delivers 2 minutes of full-load runtime or 7 minutes at half load—enough time for graceful shutdown or sustained operation during brief outages. The desktop form factor (288 × 99 × 280.5 mm, 8.17 kg) fits network closets and equipment racks without consuming significant floor space. It accepts standard 120V AC input (12A max, 50/60 Hz auto-sensing) and outputs regulated 120V AC with ±10% voltage stability in battery mode. The UPS-TOWER-US includes one 100/10 Mbps Ethernet port for remote monitoring and control via UniFi management software, plus five NEMA 5-15R outlets: two for battery backup and surge protection, and three for surge protection only. A single 1.8 m non-removable power cord connects to a standard outlet.

Compatibility

The UPS-TOWER-US integrates with UniFi network stacks: Dream Machine controllers, UniFi Switches (all PoE and non-PoE models), UniFi access points, and UniFi gateways. It pairs with any standard 120V AC network equipment or small appliances under 600W continuous draw. The 100/10 Mbps Ethernet connection works on any standard network segment for UniFi adoption and monitoring—no specialized cabling required. Compatible with both residential and small commercial power infrastructure using TN grounding systems (standard in North America).

Installation Notes

Mount on a flat, level surface in a climate-controlled environment (0–40°C operating range). Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit; the IP20 rating protects internal components but does not permit outdoor or wet-location deployment. The 6 ms typical transfer time to battery mode ensures minimal disruption to network devices; 10 ms maximum covers worst-case scenarios. Battery charges to 90% capacity in 6–8 hours after discharge. Reset via physical button on the front panel if needed. No special tools or torque specifications required—standard outlet placement and Ethernet connection suffice.
