Overview
The Ubiquiti UNAS-4-W (MPN: UNAS-4-W) is a compact network-attached storage appliance purpose-built for UniFi ecosystem deployments. This unit integrates with UniFi storage and backup infrastructure to centralize surveillance footage, system backups, and network data across distributed sites. The white desktop form factor houses two 3.5-inch HDD bays, supporting configurations from 4TB to 16TB depending on drive selection. Compatibility
The UNAS-4-W integrates directly with UniFi Protect camera systems, UniFi Dream Machine Pro (UDM Pro), UDM SE, and standard UniFi Network Console management workflows. All configuration and monitoring occur through the native UniFi controller — no separate administrative interfaces or third-party tools required. Works as a standalone storage node or as a distributed archive for multi-site surveillance networks where local NVR functionality is needed at branch locations.
Networking and Power
Operates over a single 2.5 GbE Ethernet port, delivering sufficient throughput for multi-camera recording streams and concurrent backup operations typical of small to mid-sized deployments. Power is supplied via an included PoE+++ adapter, eliminating the need for dedicated AC outlets near network infrastructure and simplifying cable management in constrained spaces. A USB-C port enables direct device connectivity for local file transfer or firmware updates when network access is limited.
