The TL-SG1005P is a 5-port unmanaged Gigabit switch with four integrated PoE+ ports and a 65W total power budget. It solves the common problem of powering multiple PoE devices in small surveillance zones, perimeter clusters, or temporary field installations without requiring a managed switching layer or dedicated power infrastructure. All ports operate at 1 Gbps full duplex; the single non-PoE Gigabit port serves as an uplink to a core switch or NVR. Passive cooling (no fans) and a steel desktop enclosure fit desk-side, cabinet-edge, or shelf mounting.
The TL-SG1005P supports any IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at (PoE+) powered device: IP cameras drawing up to 30W per port, wireless access points, VoIP phones, and edge analytics appliances. Non-PoE devices connect to the fifth port for data-only throughput. The 65W power budget is shared across all four PoE ports—not per port. A mix of medium-draw devices (e.g., two 30W cameras and two 10W APs) will saturate the budget; four simultaneous high-power cameras (25W+ each) will trigger overload protection and port throttling or disconnection. Suitable for small camera arrays; larger multi-camera deployments should use a 120W or 240W managed PoE switch.
Plug and play—no IP assignment, VLAN tagging, or spanning-tree configuration. All ports learn and forward automatically. Place on a shelf or wall-mount using standard bracket hardware (not included). Operating temperature range is −30°C to 70°C (−22°F to 158°F); verify ambient conditions before deployment in harsh or outdoor-adjacent locations. PoE auto-recovery mode can detect and reboot unresponsive powered devices; disable this feature if your PoE devices enter sleep mode to avoid unintended power cycles. AC wall-powered only—no battery backup or UPS integration. The switch requires external PoE power sourcing equipment connected to the dedicated PoE IN port; it does not accept DC or AC input directly.
