TP-Link PSM550-AC 550W AC Power Supply Module
Overview
The PSM550-AC is a 550-watt modular power supply built for high-availability network infrastructure where downtime is not an option. Hot-swappable design allows you to replace the module without powering down the host switch — critical when SLA penalties or PoE-dependent endpoints (IP cameras, access control systems, wireless access points) depend on continuous uptime. Universal 100–240V~ 50/60 Hz AC input accommodates global electrical standards without reconfiguration. Steel enclosure with integrated cooling fan maintains thermal stability under sustained load in equipment racks.
Compatibility
The PSM550-AC is purpose-built for TP-Link full-fiber L3 aggregation and core switches. It is compatible with the SX6632YF and S7500-26XF6Y models. Before ordering, verify that your switch model accepts modular PSM550-AC replacement — not all TP-Link switches support this form factor. Consult your switch datasheet or contact pre-sales engineering if your model is not listed above. Redundant power module configurations can be commissioned for failover protection against single power-module failures.
Installation Notes
The module slides into dedicated PSM slots on compatible switch chassis. Requires standard rack space and a standard AC power outlet with appropriate circuit protection. Confirm your facility breaker and UPS system can handle the 550W draw at full load — this represents significant electrical demand. Fan-cooled design generates modest acoustic output; verify this is acceptable for your deployment environment (network closet, data center, or monitoring center). Operating temperature range is 0°C to 55°C at sea level to 3000m elevation, or 0°C to 45°C at 3000m to 5000m elevation. Store the module in a dry environment (5–95% RH non-condensing) when not in use.
