Description

APC by Schneider Electric APCRBC114 Replacement Battery Cartridge

Overview

The APCRBC114 is a genuine factory-new replacement battery cartridge designed to restore runtime and reliability to compatible APC UPS systems. When an installed UPS battery reaches end-of-life — typically signaled by a Replace Battery alarm — swapping in the APCRBC114 returns the unit to full rated runtime without replacing the entire UPS chassis. This is the standard approach in IT closets, network rooms, and security head-end equipment racks where UPS units protect NVRs, PoE switches, and access control panels.

Compatibility

Verify compatibility against your specific UPS model number before ordering. The APCRBC114 is designated for use with select APC Back-UPS and Smart-UPS models — consult the APC compatibility tool at apc.com using your UPS model number to confirm this cartridge is the correct replacement. Installing the wrong RBC cartridge can result in improper fit or failure to charge correctly, so model verification is a mandatory step before installation.

Installation Notes

APC replacement battery cartridges are designed for tool-free hot-swap or simple panel-access replacement depending on the UPS model. The battery compartment is user-accessible — no UPS disassembly or electrician required in most supported models. Dispose of the spent battery cartridge through a certified battery recycling program; APC provides a prepaid recycling option in many regions. Do not attempt to open the cartridge housing or replace individual cells.
