Overview
The Allied Telesis AT-SPTXC is a TAA-compliant SFP pluggable module supporting 10/100/1000BASE-TX over an RJ45 copper interface with a 100m reach — the right choice when you need to terminate a Gigabit copper run directly into an SFP slot without a separate media converter. Its TAA compliance makes it suitable for U.S. federal and government procurement environments where Trade Agreements Act conformance is a contracting requirement. The AT-SPTXC operates across a commercial temperature range of 0°C to 70°C, fitting standard indoor data center and enterprise wiring closet deployments.
Compatibility
The AT-SPTXC is designed for use with Allied Telesis switches, routers, and media converters equipped with standard SFP (mini-GBIC) slots — including the AT-x510, AT-x530, AT-x550, AT-x930, and AT-SBx908 Gen2 series, as well as Allied Telesis media converter chassis platforms. The module follows the SFP MSA (Multi-Source Agreement) form factor standard; however, confirm interoperability with non-Allied Telesis hardware against your vendor's qualified transceiver list before deploying — most enterprise switch vendors restrict SFP third-party compatibility in firmware. The RJ45 interface supports standard Cat5e or Cat6 cabling to 100 meters, so existing copper infrastructure carries Gigabit to the SFP slot with no additional hardware.
Installation Notes
Insert the AT-SPTXC into any SFP-compliant slot with the locking bail-latch engaged before connecting the RJ45 cable. Operating temperature range is 0°C to 70°C — this is a commercial-grade module not rated for outdoor or extended-industrial environments; if your installation space exceeds 70°C ambient, select a module rated for the industrial range. Auto-negotiation handles 10/100/1000 speed selection; no manual speed configuration is required at the module level.
