The AT-IMC2000TP/SP-980 is the right tool when you need to extend a PoE+ device — an IP camera, access control reader, or wireless access point — over fiber to a wiring closet or head-end equipment that only presents a copper uplink, without breaking the PoE budget or requiring a separate power injector at the remote end. The industrial temperature rating makes it viable in unconditioned spaces: equipment rooms, outdoor enclosures, and manufacturing floors where standard commercial-grade converters fail.

Compatibility

The copper RJ-45 side supports 10/100/1000BASE-T with PoE+ (802.3at), so any powered device drawing up to the 802.3at limit can connect directly without an additional injector. The SFP slot accepts standard 100BASE-X or 1000BASE-X SFP modules — Allied Telesis AT-SP modules are the validated option, but the slot follows industry-standard SFP MSA form factor.
