Overview
The WTP-SP is a weatherproof mounting plate that enables flush installation of System Sensor outdoor horns, strobes, horn strobes, and speaker devices directly into brick, ceramic tile, concrete, and masonry surfaces. NEMA 3R-rated construction protects equipment from rain, sleet, and airborne dust — essential when outdoor AV devices must mount flush to building exteriors. The WTP-SP eliminates the need for surface-mounted backboxes, simplifying rough-in and improving aesthetics on finished walls.
Compatibility
The WTP-SP works with System Sensor FUEGO-series outdoor AV devices and other compatible SpectrAlert Advance units rated for outdoor mounting. It accommodates horns, strobes, horn strobes, speakers, and speaker strobes designed for the universal SpectrAlert Advance mounting interface. Verify your specific device model against System Sensor's compatibility matrix before ordering — not all devices support flush-mount via weatherproof plate.
Installation Notes
WTP-SP plates come in red and white finishes to match local fire code and aesthetic requirements. The flush design requires drilling into masonry or tile backings; use appropriate anchors and fasteners for your wall substrate. Operating temperature range is −35°F to 151°F — suitable for most North American climates. The plate itself carries no power; connect strobe or horn power separately via the integrated mounting interface. Ensure your wall cavity has sufficient depth to accommodate the mounted device behind the flush plate.
