Overview

The System Sensor CO-PLATE is a replacement plate assembly for the CO1224 series carbon monoxide detectors. It mounts into a single-gang back box and integrates with System Sensor's fire alarm and life safety infrastructure. Use this when the existing faceplate has been damaged, worn, or requires replacement in an active CO detection installation. The CO-PLATE operates at 24VDC and carries the same UL 2075 (US) or CSA 6.19-01 (Canada) certification as the base detector hardware, so swapping the plate preserves system compliance without requiring re-certification of the entire device.

Compatibility

The CO-PLATE is designed for System Sensor CO1224 series detectors — specifically the CO1224T, CO1224TR, and CO1224A models. Verify the base detector model number on your installation before ordering; this plate will not retrofit other manufacturers' CO detectors or non-CO1224-series System Sensor devices. Single-gang back box mounting is required; confirm your wall box configuration matches before installation.

Installation Notes

Operating temperature range is 0° – 40°C (32° – 104°F). The plate assembly connects via SEMS-type terminal Phillips head screws to the existing detector wiring, which is already in place if replacing a damaged faceplate. No additional power supply or network infrastructure is needed — the replacement uses the same 24VDC supply as the original detector. Ensure the detector itself is in a safe state (or disconnected from the control panel) before removing the old plate and installing the CO-PLATE.
