Description

Honeywell PROSIXCOV Wireless CO Detector

Overview

The PROSIXCOV is a wireless carbon monoxide detector designed for integration with Honeywell Home ProSIX control panels. It pairs with your existing ProSIX security system via wireless enrollment, eliminating separate CO monitoring infrastructure and simplifying panel-based life-safety reporting. The detector operates on a single CR123A lithium battery (Resideo 466, Duracell DL123/DL123A compatible) and carries a 10-year service life — meaning you install it once and plan replacement at the decade mark, not at annual intervals.

Compatibility

The PROSIXCOV is purpose-built for Honeywell Home ProSIX series control panels only. It uses the ProSIX wireless protocol for enrollment and status reporting. Verify your panel is a genuine ProSIX model before ordering — this detector will not enroll with other manufacturers' panels or legacy Honeywell systems. Once enrolled in a panel, it cannot be reassigned to another controller without factory reset (available for 24 hours post-enrollment while powered).

Installation Notes

Activation is straightforward: remove the battery pull tab, and the detector enters a 20-second enrollment window signaled by rapid green LED flashing. Place your ProSIX panel in programming mode and the detector will transmit its unique MAC ID and services information. Enrollment confirmation is marked by a 3-second solid green LED and an audible chirp. Operating temperature range is 32–122°F (0–50°C); store units at –10 to 70°C. The detector reports low battery status and end-of-life readiness to the panel, preventing silent failures. Weight is 7.7 oz (21g), making it lightweight enough for standard wall or shelf mounting within your monitored space.
