Honeywell PROSIXPIRV Wireless Motion Detector
Overview
The PROSIXPIRV is a wireless passive infrared (PIR) motion detector built for ProSeries control panels—specifically the PROA7, PROA7PLUS, and PROA7PLUSC. It uses two-way encrypted SiX wireless technology with 128-bit AES encryption, meaning motion events are secure and the panel can confirm reception. Typical deployment: interior zones where hardwiring is impractical (residential additions, rental properties, temporary perimeter expansions) or retrofit scenarios where pulling cable would disrupt finished space. The selectable pet immunity up to 80 lbs lets you ignore household pets while still catching human-scale movement.
Compatibility
Works exclusively with Honeywell ProSeries panels: PROA7, PROA7PLUS, and PROA7PLUSC. Auto-enrollment is supported—the panel can discover and add the detector without manual configuration. Remote configuration via the panel allows you to adjust pet-immunity sensitivity and other parameters without physical access to the detector itself.
Installation Notes
Wireless range is up to 200 feet in open air—real-world coverage through drywall and framing will be substantially less, typically 50–100 feet depending on material density and RF interference. Battery is user-replaceable lithium; verify battery type and expected life from the product manual. Mount the detector in locations where it has direct line-of-sight or near-LOS to the panel's antenna for reliable two-way communication. Test signal strength after installation to confirm reception.
