System Sensor R-14E 4-Gang SPDT Relay Module
Overview
The System Sensor R-14E is a 4-gang SPDT relay module operating at 35VDC, purpose-built for fire alarm and access control system integration. Each gang provides independent Form C (SPDT) switching with end-of-line (EOL) supervision — meaning undetected line breaks or shorts in the relay circuit are caught before they cause false activation or silent failures. The module switches loads up to 10 A at 125/250 VAC per contact, making it suitable for door strikes, solenoid coils, alarm annunciators, and auxiliary devices in distributed control architectures. This is the accessory layer between your control panel and the field devices that need to be switched.
Compatibility
The R-14E integrates with System Sensor fire alarm control panels and networked access control systems that support 35VDC relay modules. If you're expanding a multi-door strike setup or adding solenoid control to an existing System Sensor alarm backbone, this module fills the gap — each gang operates independently, so you can assign different functions to different zones without crosstalk. Confirm your panel's relay module slot and 35VDC supply availability before ordering.
Installation Notes
The R-14E connects to 35VDC power and communicates relay state back to the control panel via supervised circuits. Wire the NO/NC contacts of each gang to the devices being controlled (door strike, solenoid, indicator light). EOL supervision requires proper termination of the supervised lines — incomplete wiring or missing end-of-line resistors will cause supervision faults. Ensure your 35VDC power supply has sufficient capacity for all four gangs when fully loaded; a single gang can draw significant current if switching a high-inrush device like a solenoid. Standard installation tools and a multimeter for circuit verification are sufficient.
