System Sensor R-14T 4-Gang SPDT Relay Module
Overview
The System Sensor R-14T is a 4-gang SPDT relay module designed for addressable fire alarm control panel loops. Each of the four relays provides single-pole, double-throw switching — meaning each relay can control two separate circuits (normally open and normally closed paths) independently. The integrated tamper protection monitors enclosure integrity and alerts your control panel to unauthorized access or removal attempts. Operating at 24 VDC, the R-14T addresses the core problem: distributed relay switching across multiple zones without dedicated relay cabinets. Install it in a control loop and address each relay independently through your panel interface.
Compatibility
The R-14T integrates directly into System Sensor addressable fire alarm control panel loops. Compatible with System Sensor conventional and addressable systems that support relay modules on the control loop. Typical deployment scenarios include commercial multi-floor buildings, industrial facilities, and institutional campuses where you need remote auxiliary device triggering (door strikes, solenoid valves, visual indicators, dampers) distributed across multiple zones without running individual control wiring.
Installation Notes
The module connects to the addressable loop via standard wiring; each relay is independently addressable and configurable through the control panel. The 4-gang enclosure accommodates the four independent SPDT switching circuits. Tamper protection is passive — no additional wiring required beyond loop connection. Ensure 24 VDC supply is stable and protected; voltage fluctuations outside design limits will affect relay operation and may trigger fault conditions at the panel.
