The WVCU650 is a hardwired system controller for i-PRO WJ-HD300 and WJ-HD500 series recorders and their connected camera systems. It operates in PS·Data mode (multi-unit, up to 4 controllers per system, supports 1–99 units, 1–99 monitors, 1–999 cameras) or Terminal mode, giving you hands-on control of recording playback, camera movement, and video switching from a single control point. Intended for command centers, SOCs, and hybrid surveillance deployments where you need tactile control of recorder functions alongside camera pan/tilt/zoom.
The WVCU650 integrates with i-PRO WJ-HD300 and WJ-HD500 series hard disk recorders marked with the PS·Data indicator. In PS·Data mode, one controller can manage multiple recorder units, cameras, and monitors; up to four WVCU650 units can be networked to the same system for distributed control across multiple locations. Terminal mode supports direct connection to compatible legacy systems. Exact camera model compatibility depends on recorder firmware and PS·Data support — consult your recorder documentation for the full list.
Power via the supplied AC adapter (100–240 V, 50/60 Hz, 15 VA); the controller draws 300 mA at 9 VDC. Data connectivity uses RS-485 over a 6-pin 6-conductor modular jack (two ports per unit); RS-485 communication distance depends on cable type and environmental conditions but typically supports runs up to several hundred meters under ideal conditions. The included ~3 m modular cable connects to the primary recorder or network node. Operating temperature range is −10 °C to +50 °C; keep the unit in a climate-controlled environment (typical for indoor SOC/command center use). Set the controller address (1–8) via a rotary switch on the unit before deployment. Serial port (9-pin D-SUB) is available for maintenance and configuration.
