Overview
The APC by Schneider Electric SYCFXR8S is an external battery enclosure designed to expand the runtime capabilities of specific Symmetra PX 40 KVA uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems. This unit provides the physical frame and power distribution for up to eight plug-in battery modules, allowing for significantly longer backup periods during utility power outages. It is intended for deployments where extended operational continuity is critical, such as data centers, network closets, or industrial control rooms that require more than the base UPS runtime.
Compatibility
This SYCFXR8S frame is engineered to integrate with the following APC Symmetra PX 40 KVA UPS models: ISX20K20F, ISX20K20H, SY10K40F, SY20K40E, SY20K40F, SY30K40E, SY30K40F, and SY40K40F. It supports a maximum of eight plug-in battery modules, which must be purchased separately to achieve desired runtime extensions.
Installation Notes
The enclosure has a maximum operating temperature of 104°F (40°C) and can operate in humidity levels from 0-95% non-condensing. It requires physical space for its 24-inch dimensions. The unit is black and designed for integration within existing APC Symmetra PX UPS infrastructure.
