Overview
The STI-13420FR is a vandalism-resistant protective cover and horn assembly for emergency call stations, fire alarm manual stations, numeric keypads, intercom stations, and emergency buttons. It combines a heavy-duty polycarbonate dome (molded for impact and UV stability) with an integrated 105dB horn and enclosed back box rated for sealed mounting in indoor and outdoor environments. Powered by 24VDC, the STI-13420FR protects critical access control and emergency communication endpoints from accidental damage, vandalism, dust, and environmental degradation — solving the problem of exposed buttons and stations that fail or require frequent replacement in high-traffic or harsh-weather deployments.
Compatibility
The STI-13420FR accommodates most standard fire alarm manual stations, numeric entry keypads, emergency push buttons, and intercom stations. The enclosed back box supports both flush-mount (recessed) and surface-mount installation with sealed mounting plates. Threaded connections at top and bottom accept standard ¾-inch rigid conduit, enabling integration into existing 24VDC powered access control and emergency communication infrastructure. The unit is available with or without the 105dB horn — confirm horn inclusion when ordering if audible alarm notification is required.
Installation Notes
The back box is supplied in waterproof sealed configuration (with internal mounting plate); gaskets are included. Low-profile design meets ADA compliance standards. A tamper latch is included but should not be used on fire alarm stations (per code). The polycarbonate dome is UV-stabilized to maintain clarity in outdoor installations. Optional relay output (12–24VDC) is available for integrating horn activation with external alarm systems. Rigid conduit connections and sealed gaskets ensure weather protection suitable for interior and exterior mounting.
