The EM1212DOC is a compact metal enclosure with an integrated thumb lock mechanism, designed to secure credential records, system documentation, and access control materials at control stations or secure entry points. Unlike general-purpose cabinets, this unit is purpose-built for the access control vertical—small enough to integrate into tight mechanical spaces, rigid enough to resist tampering, and quick enough to install without infrastructure disruption. The thumb lock provides physical key-based access control, meaning authorized personnel can retrieve records without relying on electronic systems.

The EM1212DOC-U mounting variant is engineered to integrate into existing STI metal protective cabinet frames and enclosure studs. Installation requires no drilling or structural modification—the unit mounts directly onto threaded studs already present in standard STI cabinet assemblies. This makes it suitable for retrofit installations in access control rooms, security operations centers, and badge-issuance stations where cabinet real estate is already allocated.
Installation Notes
Mount the EM1212DOC-U using existing enclosure threaded studs; no additional fasteners or hardware modifications are required. Four sealing washers are supplied to ensure weather-resistant sealing at the mounting interface. The lock cylinder is installed by punching out the knockout hole and inserting the cylinder assembly through the opening—a straightforward field operation requiring only a pry tool. Dimensions: 12.5 in. wide × 5.25 in. tall × 4.3 in. deep, allowing placement in confined mechanical spaces without occupying excessive cabinet volume.
