STI SS2329ES-FR Stopper Station Push Button with Shield
Overview
The STI SS2329ES-FR is a push-button assembly with integrated environmental shield, sized for emergency exit and access control applications operating at 30VDC. This unit pairs with magnetic lock strike systems to control egress in high-traffic commercial and industrial environments. The shield protects the button mechanism from dust, impact, and incidental contact without sacrificing tactile feedback or wiring accessibility. Mounting is configurable—flush or surface—depending on your door frame depth and aesthetic requirements.
Compatibility
Designed for 30VDC magnetic lock strike installations. Works with standard STI mounting kits (KIT-102720 for flush mount, KIT-71100A for surface mount, KIT-71101B for extended-depth surface mount). Compatible with button series SS2xx0, SS2xx1, SS2xx2, SS2xx3, SS2xx4, SS2xx5, SS2xx6, SS2xx7, SS2xx8, and SS2xx9. Integrates into emergency-controlled door systems requiring fail-safe magnetic lock actuation.
Installation Notes
The SS2329ES-FR includes a 12mm worldwide mounting plate/spacer supplied standard. For flush mounting (button types 2, 5, 6, 8, 9), use KIT-102720 only. For surface mounting of types 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, order KIT-71100A (KIT-102720 is not required). Button types 0, 1, 3, 4 require extended depth: deploy KIT-71101B with the 12mm spacer. Mounting depth is approximately 1.25 inches when anchors are not used; 1.125 inches deep when anchors are engaged. Drill 3/16-inch diameter holes per installation template. Unit dimensions: 6.36 inches wide × 3.22 inches high. NEMA Type 23 enclosure rating provides industrial/commercial environmental protection. Operates on 30VDC supply; verify strike system voltage compatibility before installation.
