Overview

The SS2408EX-EN is a pneumatic-activated stopper station designed to integrate push-button door control with magnetic lock retention. Operating at 30VDC, it provides electromagnetic holding force for access control installations where you need reliable pneumatic activation without powering a solenoid constantly—the magnetic lock holds the door in position while the button logic handles entry/exit permissioning. Typical deployment: secured entry doors in facilities where staff need momentary push-to-exit pneumatic release but the door must remain locked between authorized access events.

Compatibility

The SS2408EX-EN fits standard pneumatic access control architectures and integrates into door frames using magnetic strike assemblies. Compatible with installations that specify push-button pneumatic activation for door retention. Works with existing access control panels and electromechanical release logic that sources 30VDC to the lock coil. Suitable for metal or wood door frames where standard 3/16-inch mounting holes can be drilled per kit specifications.

Installation Notes

Three mounting configurations available depending on door depth and frame type: flush mount (KIT-102720 included with all units—12mm worldwide mounting plate/spacer), surface mount (KIT-71100A option), or extended depth surface mount (KIT-71101B for models requiring additional standoff). Unit dimensions 6.36 inches wide × 3.22 inches tall; mounting depth is 1.25 inches when anchors are not used. Installation requires 3/16-inch diameter holes per the relevant mounting kit. Drill template and anchor fasteners supplied with the mounting kit—verify correct kit type before ordering if your installation is non-standard depth or flush-recessed.
