Overview

The STI-8200-SS is a flush-mount protective cage built from 18-gauge (1.2mm) stainless steel, designed to shield smoke detectors from vandalism and misuse without compromising sensor function. The perforated design permits smoke to reach the detector while blocking access to internal components. Natural corrosion resistance makes it suitable for food-service environments, water treatment plants, and facilities with harsh atmospheric exposure. Use this where detector tampering or repeated false alarms from intentional damage drive maintenance costs — prisons, hospitals, and high-traffic commercial spaces are primary deployments.

Compatible with STI 8100/A, STI 8100/BK, and STI 8100/W smoke detector models.
