STI STI-SA5000-R Select-Alert Mini Controller
The STI-SA5000-R is a compact alert controller for access control and security cabinet applications. It combines a 32-selectable-tone siren with visual alert (high-intensity LEDs) and tamper detection in a single polycarbonate enclosure. Sized for wall-mount or cabinet integration, the SA5000-R solves the problem of discrete, audible response when door sensors, push buttons, or access events need immediate attention without requiring a full control panel.
Overview
This unit functions as a standalone alert device or integrates into larger access control systems via its Form C dry relay output. The siren offers 32 user-selectable tones at 100dB or 85dB output—pick the 85dB version for noise-sensitive environments (office corridors, retail floors) and 100dB for industrial or high-ambient-noise areas. Independent timing control for siren and strobe (15s, 30s, 60s, or continuous) means you can pulse the light without constant audio or vice versa. Tamper switch (normally closed contact) triggers the alert if someone removes the unit from the wall, protecting against tampering or theft.
Compatibility
Operates in access control systems that accept dry relay closure inputs (standard 12VDC, 50mA, normally closed contact). Compatible with electric strike hardware, door sensors, motion detectors, or any device that can trigger a dry contact output. Works as a cabinet alert in small systems, or as a zone responder in networked architectures where a dedicated alert is needed at a specific location.
Installation Notes
Powered by 9VDC battery (not included) or external 12–24V supply. Operating temperature range 32°F–120°F limits outdoor use—this is an indoor-only device. Mount on wall or inside cabinet using provided hardware. Requires dry contact wiring from trigger source (door sensor, access controller output, push button). Low battery indicator alerts when 9VDC power is depleting, ensuring maintenance scheduling before failure.
