Overview
The STI-SA5000-A is a compact alert controller for small access control installations where you need visual and audible notification tied to door or cabinet events. It combines a siren (100 or 85 dB selectable), ten high-intensity LEDs in your choice of amber, green, blue, red, or white, and a dry relay output — designed to trigger on door opening, tamper, or push-button activation. Operating from a 9 VDC battery (not included) or external 12–24 volts, it suits cabinet alerts, door alerts, or burglar alarm integration where local notification matters as much as remote logging.
Compatibility
The STI-SA5000-A works with any access control system that can send a dry-contact signal — no proprietary reader requirement. The one Form C dry relay contact output (N.C., rated for 12 VDC, 50 mA) feeds into standard electromagnetic or mechanical strike hardware. Maximum capacity is 32 users if integrated into a larger credential management network; however, the unit itself is a passive alerter and does not store or manage credentials — it responds to external trigger events (door sensor, push button, tamper, or system command). Indoor use only.
Installation Notes
Operating temperature range is 32°F to 120°F — keep this unit in climate-controlled spaces (offices, server rooms, secure cabinets) and away from outdoor or unheated exposures. The unit includes a tamper switch that triggers the alert if it is removed from the wall, adding a physical security layer. Durable polycarbonate housing resists casual damage. Siren offers 32 user-selectable tones with independent strobe and siren timing of 15, 30, 60 seconds, or continuous mode — configure timing to match your notification protocol. A low-battery indicator warns when 9 VDC battery power is fading, preventing silent failure.
