Overview

The GLR401EM-EN is a 42VDC push button credential designed for access control panel integration at door entry points. This flush-mount device activates credential signals for systems that recognize push button inputs — a direct, hardwired alternative to card readers or keypads where simplicity and reliability matter. UL-listed to UL2017 Type SM, UL294, and UL365, it meets commercial security standards for life safety and access control installations.

Verify your panel's input terminal specifications before ordering — this device carries a 42VDC signal, not a dry contact. Suitable for retrofit into existing access control wiring where a push button credential input is already wired or can be added without panel reprogramming.

Installation Notes

Mounting hardware is included for flush installation into standard electrical boxes: double gang box using #6-32 x 1.0" machine screws, single gang box using #6-32 x 1.0" machine screws, four square box using #8-32 x 1.0" machine screws, or 60.3mm European box using M3.5 x 35mm machine screws. Install at least 1.1 m (3.5 ft) above finished floor; 1.37 m (4.5 ft) is recommended for accessibility. Drill mounting holes to match your box type — frame mounts to 1/2 in. NPT thread, 1-1/4 in. deep. Wire the 42VDC supply directly to the panel input terminal; no separate power conditioning required. Confirm wire gauge supports the credential current draw of your specific access control system before energization.
