Overview
The EN483612-W is a non-metallic fiberglass enclosure with an integrated transparent window, purpose-built to house and protect access control readers and alarm annunciators in outdoor or harsh indoor environments. The transparent window allows visual inspection of reader status and credential feedback without opening the locked door—a key advantage when you need to verify device operation in the field without exposing internal electronics. Hot-compression-molded polyester-fiberglass construction (thermoset) resists corrosion, chemicals, and temperature extremes, making it suitable for loading docks, parking structures, building entrances, and other vandalism-prone locations where metal enclosures would corrode or fail.
Compatibility
The EN483612-W accommodates standard access control readers and fire alarm panels that require physical and environmental protection. The cutout-mount design integrates into door frames, walls, and security vestibules via cavity preparation. Compatible with proximity-based readers (HID and NFC/13.56MHz credential systems) and TCP/IP-connected control panels. Verify exact mounting dimensions and internal cavity requirements with your reader or panel manufacturer before ordering.
Installation Notes
Install via cutout mounting into prepared door or wall openings. The enclosure features integrated mounting feet and a built-in polyurethane seal to prevent dust, dirt, and moisture ingress. Stainless-steel hinges support the lockable door; rounded edges and soft construction edges reduce injury risk during installation. A back plate is available as an option. Environmental protection includes UV-hardened construction and reinforced weather sealing. No AC power or heating is included in the standard model; optional climate control variants are available separately.
