STI BPF1210 EnviroArmour Fiberglass Back Panel
Overview
The STI BPF1210 is a 12" × 10" fiberglass back panel engineered as a mounting substrate for access control readers, strikes, and auxiliary hardware in environments where corrosion, UV exposure, or mechanical durability is a concern. EnviroArmour fiberglass resists salt spray, moisture, and UV degradation — extending hardware lifecycle in outdoor, semi-outdoor, and harsh-indoor installations without requiring stainless steel cost premiums. The form factor fits standard electrical boxes and door frame cavities where space is tight but environmental protection is non-negotiable.
Compatibility
Designed for STI access control systems and compatible third-party readers and strike mechanisms rated for 9VDC operation. The back panel accommodates standard reader bezel diameters and strike plate footprints used across commercial access control deployments. Verify reader and strike cutout patterns against your specific hardware before ordering — fiberglass cannot be field-modified without risk of delamination.
Installation Notes
Mount using the four pre-drilled holes with standard wall anchors or masonry fasteners appropriate to your substrate (drywall, concrete, or metal stud). Use a 7mm masonry drill bit if establishing holes in concrete. For outdoor installations, seal cable entry points with the supplied gasket inserts to prevent water intrusion behind the panel. Do not exceed 9VDC supply voltage to connected hardware. Fiberglass is non-conductive; grounding continuity must be maintained through a separate conductor if your strike or reader design requires it.
