Description

STI BPF0606 EnviroArmour Fiberglass Back Panel

Overview

The STI BPF0606 is a 6x6 inch fiberglass back panel engineered to provide a protective mounting base for access control readers, strike hardware, and credential processors. EnviroArmour construction delivers environmental resistance in both indoor and outdoor mounting scenarios, solving the common problem of weather exposure and physical damage to panel-mounted electronics on door frames. Rated for 9VDC operation, the BPF0606 serves as a structural backing component in commercial and institutional installations where readers and locking hardware require panel-mounted support and weather protection.

Compatibility

The BPF0606 is designed as a universal backing panel for STI lock and strike assemblies. It accommodates standard access control reader mounting, electromechanical strike hardware, and credential processor integration. Compatible with door frame mounting applications in commercial facilities, institutional buildings, and outdoor-exposed entry points where protective paneling is required behind reader or locking hardware installations.

Installation Notes

Installation uses four fixing holes secured with 7mm masonry drill bits for permanent mounting to door frames or surface-mounted applications. For surface installations, blank off unused cable entry holes using inserts attached to the spacer. Fiberglass construction resists corrosion and environmental degradation, extending the life of mounted hardware in harsh conditions. The panel supports cable gasket selection based on wiring system type to maintain environmental seal integrity.
