Overview
The STI-6100 is a break glass stopper designed for small emergency keyboxes in fire safety and access control installations. This component secures emergency keys (fire alarm system keys, exit door keys, and other critical access points) while keeping them visible and immediately available when needed. The stopper works in conjunction with the STI keybox enclosure to deter unauthorized access while maintaining rapid retrieval during emergency events.
Compatibility
The STI-6100 is the stopper component for the STI-6720 Small Keybox. It functions as part of the integrated glass-and-stopper assembly in small-format keybox installations. Replacement glass (KIT-672) is available separately if the protective pane is broken during emergency access or requires replacement after extended service. The stopper is designed to work only with the STI-6720 model — do not attempt to adapt it to medium (STI-6700) or large (STI-4100) keyboxes, as frame geometry and mounting patterns differ.
Installation Notes
The STI-6100 arrives as part of the complete STI-6720 keybox assembly, which includes the full fixing kit for wall or door frame mounting. Installation is straightforward: secure the keybox enclosure to the wall or frame using the supplied fasteners, ensuring the stopper is properly seated in the frame to hold the glass in place. Verify the keybox is accessible from your intended location and that sightlines allow visual confirmation of key presence without obstruction. Environmental limits: standard indoor commercial settings; not rated for outdoor or high-moisture environments without additional protection.
