STI STI-6700 Medium Break Glass Keybox
Overview
The STI STI-6700 is a medium-sized break glass keybox designed to store emergency access keys—fire alarm system keys, exit door keys, and other emergency override credentials—while protecting them from theft and unauthorized use. The clear glass front keeps keys visible for rapid identification during an emergency, yet the glass barrier prevents casual misuse. This is the middle capacity option in the STI keybox line; choose it when you need more storage than the small STI-6720 but don't require the larger STI-4100 footprint.
Compatibility
The STI-6700 integrates into standard emergency access and life safety systems where manual override pathways are required by building code. It works alongside electronic access control systems as a redundant failsafe—providing mechanical key access during power loss, system downtime, or emergency lockdown scenarios. Install it in facilities with both electronic and manual door strike configurations, security control rooms, and building management hubs where emergency egress keys must be immediately available.
Installation Notes
Comes complete with a full fixing kit for wall or cabinet mounting. Installation is straightforward—no special tools or wiring required. Replacement glass is available separately (KIT-67) when the original pane is broken or damaged. A glass breaker hammer (STI-6721-B) is sold separately for authorized personnel to access keys during emergencies.
