STI STI-8101 2" Conduit Spacer
Overview
The STI-8101 is a 2" conduit spacer designed to manage wire routing and mechanical alignment in door frame installations using STI-8100 series electric lock and strike hardware. This passive mechanical component solves a real installation constraint: when running 9VDC conduit and wiring through door frames with strike assemblies, maintaining proper spacing between the frame edge and the conduit entry point prevents stress on the wire bundle and ensures clean, repeatable installations across multiple doors. It fits the deployment scenario where integrators need consistent conduit positioning without improvised shimming or field adjustments.
Compatibility
The STI-8101 integrates with the entire STI-8100 series of electric lock and strike assemblies. It is sized and engineered specifically for standard door frame installations where the 2" spacing offset matches the typical conduit entry geometry of that product family. The spacer is a passive mechanical device and does not interact with the 9VDC power circuit—it simply positions the conduit run relative to the frame and strike housing.
Installation Notes
Position the spacer over the device to be protected and mark the four fixing holes. Drill using a 7mm masonry bit, then secure with the wall fixings provided. For surface installations, use the inserts attached to the spacer to blank off any unused cable entry holes. Select and install the appropriate cable gasket for the wiring system deployed.
