Overview

The CyberPower ST900U is a compact standby UPS designed to provide essential battery backup and surge protection for connected electronics. It's suitable for non-critical loads where basic power protection is required, such as for modems, routers, or basic workstations. The ST900U features a simulated sine wave output, making it appropriate for devices that do not require a pure sine wave. Its compact form factor and keyhole mounting slots allow for flexible placement, even in tight spaces. The unit includes 2 Type-A USB charge ports delivering 2.1 Amps shared power for charging mobile devices.

Compatibility

This UPS is designed for standard 120 VAC equipment. It is compatible with most common networking devices, basic computers, and other electronics that do not have sensitive power supply requirements. The simulated sine wave output is suitable for devices that do not have active power factor correction (APFC) power supplies. For sensitive equipment like servers, workstations with APFC power supplies, or medical devices, a pure sine wave UPS is recommended.

Installation Notes

The CyberPower ST900U has a 5 ft (1.5 m) cord with a NEMA 5-15P plug for connection to a standard wall outlet. It features 12 NEMA 5-15R outlets: 6 are surge-only protected, and 4 are widely spaced to accommodate larger power adapters. The unit is protected by a 15 A circuit breaker. Operating temperature range is 32 – 104 °F (0 – 40 °C). The battery is sealed lead-acid, field-serviceable by a qualified technician, but not hot-swappable or user-replaceable. Typical recharge time is 8 hours. The unit supports HID compliant USB for management with the included USB cable and free PowerPanel® Personal software download.
