Overview
The N16WNRM4TB is a 16-channel IP network video recorder built for branch offices, retail control rooms, and security operations centers where wall-mounted form factor takes precedence over rack depth. It records up to 8MP (4K) at 30 fps across all 16 channels simultaneously with H.265 compression—cutting storage overhead roughly in half versus H.264. The unit arrives with 4TB of internal SATA storage; if you need higher capacity, the recorder supports up to 32TB across its two SATA ports. NDAA compliance means it passes federal procurement review for sensitive deployments.
Compatibility
Accepts any ONVIF-compliant IP camera. The N16WNRM4TB includes 16 built-in PoE (802.3af) ports, so you can power and connect up to 16 standard-power cameras directly without a separate PoE switch—critical for compact installations. If your cameras exceed 802.3af limits (such as PTZ or high-power thermal models), you'll need auxiliary PoE+ switching. The recorder outputs to both HDMI (4K) and VGA for legacy monitor compatibility. Remote access via web browser, mobile app, and P2P discovery (free US-based DDNS from Speco) covers off-site management and mobile device viewing.
Installation Notes
Wall-mount only—no rack ears on this model (unlike the standard N16NRM). Confirm wall structure can support the unit's weight and vibration tolerance. Operating temperature range is 14°F to 50°C (–10°C to 50°C); do not install in uncontrolled outdoor spaces. One RCA audio input is available for local alarm or intercom feed. Simultaneous playback and recording across all 16 channels means no single-camera bottleneck during evidence review. Firmware supports facial detection and object/line-crossing analytics when paired with compatible Speco Smart Analytic cameras.
