Overview
The Speco A1P is a single-door controller and integrated power supply unit that consolidates access control and power distribution into one compact package. The A1P is designed for access control systems requiring single-door management. Verify compatibility with your access control panel or card reader before ordering — this unit provides integrated power and door-strike control, so it must match your existing reader protocol (Wiegand, RS-485, relay contact closure, or equivalent) and power requirements. Installation Notes
UL 508 listed and built for permanent installation. The unit features optically isolated 4–20 mA input standard and electrically isolated chassis and heat sinks, so ground loops and noise coupling are minimized in mixed electrical environments. Compact and lightweight form factor allows wall or DIN-rail mounting in confined electrical cabinets. Full power ratings are specified up to 50°C (122°F) ambient — if your install space runs hotter (data closets, equipment rooms), account for derating. Over-sized heat sink and optional thermostat-controlled fan cooling maintain performance without external ventilation. Solid-state circuitry and I²T sub-cycle fusing provide reliable protection against fault conditions common in door-strike circuits.
