Overview
The Altronix NETWAYSP3WPX is a hardened, compact power solution designed for deploying network devices in challenging environments. It integrates a 120W power supply, battery charger, and a 3-port 10/100 Ethernet switch with a single 1G fiber SFP port. This unit is ideal for powering and connecting IP cameras, access control readers, or other network edge devices in outdoor, unconditioned spaces, or locations prone to temperature fluctuations and moisture. The NETWAYSP3WPX simplifies installation by consolidating power and network connectivity into a single, rugged enclosure.
Compatibility
This unit is designed to power and connect standard 10/100 Mbps Ethernet devices. The single 1G fiber SFP port allows for extended network reach to upstream switches or network infrastructure using compatible SFP transceivers (sold separately). It is compatible with Altronix power distribution and battery backup systems. The 120W output is sufficient for multiple PoE devices or a single high-draw device, provided the total consumption does not exceed the unit's capacity.
Installation Notes
The NETWAYSP3WPX requires a 120VAC to 240VAC 50/60Hz input. It features a hardened, NEMA-rated enclosure for outdoor or harsh environment installations. Ensure proper ventilation and mounting according to local codes and manufacturer guidelines. The unit includes a battery charging system for backup power; a sealed lead-acid or gel-type battery (not included) is required for backup operation. Wire gauge for AC input and battery connections should be selected based on load and distance per electrical codes.
