Overview
The Altronix NETWAYSP3WP is a hardened, high-power network switch and battery charger designed for demanding surveillance deployments. It provides simultaneous network connectivity and power delivery to IP devices in environments where standard equipment would fail. This unit integrates a 120W power supply with battery backup charging, a 3-port 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet switch, and a single 1Gb SFP port, all housed in a NEMA 4/4x and IP66 rated enclosure. Deploy this for remote camera installations, outdoor access points, or any location exposed to dust, water, and extreme temperatures.
Compatibility
This unit is compatible with standard IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt PoE devices. The two 60W PoE ports and one 30W PoE port can power high-demand cameras, access control readers, or wireless access points. The 1Gb SFP port allows for high-speed fiber optic uplinks to connect to your network backbone, ensuring sufficient bandwidth for multiple high-resolution video streams. It functions as a standalone power solution or integrates into larger Altronix power management systems.
Installation Notes
The enclosure measures 13.31” x 11.31” x 5.59” and weighs 10.32 lb. It requires a 115VAC or 230VAC input (50/60Hz) to power its internal 56VDC, 2.2A power supply. The unit supports sealed lead-acid or gel type batteries for backup. Operating temperature range is -40ºC to 75ºC, with humidity up to 85% non-condensing. Ensure adequate ventilation within the enclosure to maintain optimal operating temperatures, especially when powering multiple high-draw devices.
