Overview

The SDC Z7550LRCHLG is a 24VDC solenoid-actuated electric strike designed for networked access control on fire-rated office, corridor, lobby, exit, and stairwell doors. This mortise-style strike eliminates the need for electric hinges or in-door wiring—all wiring stays contained in the door frame (strike jamb)—which preserves fire ratings and simplifies commissioning in buildings with strict code compliance requirements. Failsafe operation keeps the door latched even when de-energized, a critical safety feature for exit control and emergency egress scenarios.

Compatibility

The Z7550LRCHLG integrates with networked access control systems using 24VDC solenoid frame actuator control. It operates in both standard (1-3/4" to 2" frame face) and narrow (1-1/4" to 1-1/2" frame face) configurations, with left-hand reverse (LHR) handing in this SKU. The strike is Schlage trim-compatible and supports both locked-both-sides (Function 30) and locked-outside-only-failsafe (Function 50) configurations.
