The SDC Z7252EH6PKA is a solenoid-controlled cylindrical lockset for commercial and institutional access control. Part of the Electra™ 7200 series, it operates on field-selectable 12 or 24VDC and integrates into wired access control systems where you need latch-control security without exposed strikes or magnetic locks. Grade 1 construction with a vandal-resistant proprietary clutch handles high-traffic environments — office buildings, data centers, institutional facilities — where code compliance and resistance to physical attack are mandatory.
Compatibility
The Z7252EH6PKA replaces most brands of standard mechanical cylindrical locksets in new or retrofit installations. It is compatible with access control systems that deliver 12 or 24VDC solenoid control signals. Standard latch-status monitoring is included; request-to-exit (REX) output is optional. Cylinder options include standard 6-pin keyed or SFIC 7-pin I-Core Prep formats. Available trim options: Eclipse Rose (ER) or Galaxy Rose (GR), with I-Core Prep variants for advanced key management. Finish choices include Dull Chrome (626, standard), Bright Chrome (625), Dull/Bright Brass (606/605), Dull/Bright Bronze (612/611), and Dark Oil Rubbed Bronze (613).
Installation Notes
The Z7252EH6PKA includes an integrated power regulator — no separate power supply module required. Heavy-duty cylindrical design supports both new construction and retrofit door frames. Latch remains engaged even when the lock is de-energized, maintaining fire-door integrity per code. Control logic selectable: Function 50 (Locked Outside Only, Failsafe) or Function 52 (Locked Outside Only, Failsecure).
